  1. I can tell you that Marshall, Fowlerville and Ottawa Lake definitely made it to fruition. Marshall is an abandoned porn store; Fowlerville is now Fowlerville Farms; and Ottawa Lake is a Marathon truckstop. All three still resemble Nix Farms buildings.

  2. Great idea. Here is the status of the former Nickerson Farms in Kansas:

Colby-used as part of an outlet mall. Torn down now.

    Emporia-burned down 1983.

    Oklahoma-

Blackwell- was used as part of an outlet mall. Under the same ownership as Colby, Kansas.

    Mulhall- now a church.

    Hedville-abandoned, former OutPost Fun Center.

    Paxico-Wyldewood Cellars Winery

Russell-Torn down in 2002 for new motel. Had been used as a boat repair shop.

  4. The one in Honey Creek, Iowa was last called Iowa Feed and Grain. It closed many years ago and was still sitting empty when the Missouri River flooded it the summer of 2011. The last time I was by there, It was just two piles of rubble.

  6. I drove by the Paxico, Kansas site today. Though the roof isn't red you can still tell it was a NF and its operating as a winery now. Its still in really good condition!!

  7. I also drove by the Loveland Colorado site a few weeks back. It is also in good shape. The last time I was in it, probably 10 years ago, it was a Western Wear store but I don't know what it is now.

  12. My family opened a byob dance hall at the Sanger location in 1985. It was a nice family place where we provided the music, set-ups and dance floor. That was until the First Baptist Church of Sanger decided it was too sinful and ran-off our customers by having a local police officer and deacon of the church station himself outside every night.

Two weeks after we shut down a "legitament business concern" bought the place and opened a porn palace that is still opened to this day.

  13. The Weimar, TX location is still there. The structure looks like it's in decent shape from the freeway. I believe it was another restaurant briefly after Nickerson Farms shut down but it's been quite awhile since it's been operational.

  14. The location in Columbia MO. was at the intersection of Highway 63 and I-70. I used to think it was the original because it was named "Granddad nickerson's" They had the best patty melts.

  15. Just thought you should know, there is a Nickerson Farms Road in Marion, Texas. If you take Stagecoach Road and drive aways, you make a right hand turn and you are on Nickerson Farms Road. It then hits the IH10 access road. The building is still there, but it's an Exxon and a Dairy Queen. Been ages since I drove that way.
